I got a Silhouette Cameo cutting machine for Christmas this year. Ohhhh the possibilities. I can’t wait to get pepping for my next armor fabrication project and not have to cut every single little piece out. This machine should be able to cut paper, foam, and styrene.
My dream would be to have a house with my lovely boyfriend one day where we can set up a complete cosplay studio with my sewing machines, all his lab equipment for electronics, his homemade vacuform machine, and the Cameo. Probably include a drafting/light table (I saw one at Curry’s art store that has a glass tabletop so you can bend a lamp underneath to turn it into a light table), as well as a space for sculpting for prosthetics. One day!
A few years ago, Folkwear had a yukata pattern that has since been discontinued. Before it was discontinued, I bought the pattern and now that I’ve scanned it, I’ve decided to upload it here. It can be a bit confusing at first, but once you get the idea, you will find that yukata are very easy to make. This pattern is also really easy to modify.
Iron Man has defeated the Mandarin.
How to make a Superhero Mask
Want to be a superhero? Can’t afford the leather masks you see online? Want to make your own? Here’s a cheap and easy way to be your own super hero and fight crime on your free time.
This is a short tutorial turned long. If you have any questions you can comment on this video! I tried to cut out as much unnecessary information as I could. This tutorial will tell you how to make a mask out of craft foam. I swear I’ll be a whole lot more creative next tim! XD

Um… #startrek #ironman3
New costumes for 2013:
Vanellope Von Schweetz (me) and Wreck-It Ralph (boyfriend) - searching for pieces to buy and wear right off the rack rather than making plain clothing
8-bit Boba Fett (boyfriend) - this summer’s big project will be more pepakura, hot glue, spray paint, and hair tearing! I know I said we weren’t going to do another big one, but he decided that this year it’s his turn.
Version 2 of my raver Sailor Mars - More tutu!
A quick snap from Anime North last weekend. Both costumes created by me! That’s me in my ongoing Steampunk pirate outfit (I add things every time I wear it), and my new friend Sabrina as Jade from Mortal Kombat.
Not Iron Man, but here’s what I’m been doing in the last couple months! Nearly finished the Starfleet uniform skant version 2.0. All I have left is the front flap of red to be attached. It’s just pinned to the dressform right now because I’m stuck on making a decision about how to attach it to the dress - zipper or snap tape?
